DENNIE T. GROOMS
MARSHALL - Dennie T. Grooms, 90, of Route 2, Grooms Road, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, in Madison Manor Nursing Center after an extended Illness.
A lifelong resident of Madison County, he was the son of the late Wick and Annie Shelton Grooms and husband of Vernie Johnson Grooms, who died in 1979. He was a retired farmer and member of East Fork Church of God.
He is survived by his daughters, Iva English of Mars Hill, Darline Wilde of Marshall; sons, Johnny Grooms and Jimmy Grooms of Alexander, Troy Grooms of Marshall; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Madison Funeral Home, Marshall, with the Rev. Winston Lloyd and Jeter Rice officiating. Burial will be in Grooms Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
