Darrell L. Adams, 67, of London, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, 10:08 p.m. at the Madison County Hospital.

He was born May 4, 1947, in Grant County, Kentucky, a son of Leroy and Ruby (Clark) Adams.

He graduated from Grant High School. He then attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. He had worked with both youth ministry and music ministry. He worked in the flooring industry for many years and had served as a substitute teacher for the past eight years. Darrell was a long time member of the London Church of Christ where he has served as an elder. He was a member of the Lower London Dixieland Band. Darrell dearly loved his grandchildren, his dog, Missy, and his grand dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jerilyn (Whitaker) Adams; children, Kara (Les) Hardin of Kissimmee, Florida, Seth (Lori) Adams of Saint Petersburg, Florida, Ben (Kim) Adams of London; grandchildren, Kayla, Karissa, Micah and Leah Hardins, Kaylee, Kelsey and Corrie Jacobs, McKenna Adams; numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends.

Darrell was preceded in death by parents; sister: Brenda Adams.

A celebration of Darrell's life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at the London Church of Christ with the Reverend Wendell Hurley and the Reverend Les Hardin officiating. The family invites friends to call at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at the Valley View Memorial Garden, Xenia.
