Susie passed away peacefully November 9, 2014 after losing a long battle with cancer. Born February 7, 1952 in San Pedro, her cherished moments were those spent with the family and with those who loved her most: her doting parents, Anthony and Eva, now deceased; the love of her life, Alex, who left her too soon; her precious children; her close-knit siblings, Chris (Stacy) Pisano, Terry Castillo, Carmela (Bob) Keeney and Antoniette (Joe) Origel; and a brood of nephews and nieces, including A.J. Pisano, Kelsi Creighton, Juli (Joe) Lyons, Steven Castillo, Allegra (Andrew) Frost, Jake Keeney, Ryan Oriel, and Ashley (Nick) Farnham. Countless gatherings filled with laughter and love were shared by family and a multitude of friends at the home she lived in for the past 60 years. Susie's passion was her career. After graduating from Mary Star of the Sea High School and CSU Dominguez Hills, Susie began her career at StarKist Co., which soon flourished into a manager position at Nestle Corporation. To her coworkers she was known as the Queen B and valued her engaging personality, vast knowledge, mentoring nature and eagerness to help anyone who reached out to her. Her unyielding faith in God was evident to all who knew her especially during the challenging times she faced with her illness. The joy, kindness and love that filled her heart never wavered.
