Louise Marie Lofstrom, a 67 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Torrance, CA. Born July 11, 1926 in Elmira, NY, Louise was 88 when she died. Louise held several part time jobs while raising her family. She enjoyed working with the public and was especially proud of her work as a Bank Teller. She was always one to say, "What can I do to help?" Her helpful attitude led her to volunteer as a Den Mother, PTA, USO, Sunday School Teacher and Church Deacon to name just a few. She loved music, dancing, playing the organ, crossword puzzles, coffee, and a good hot dog. However, nothing was more important than her family and Church. She especially enjoyed St. Andrews Family Camp with her grandchildren, where she earned the moniker "Louise...Grandma to All! " Louise is survived by daughter, Susan; son, Gary (Holly); their father, Robert Lofstrom; six grandchildren, Lindsey, Karen, David, Jenna, Jessica and Kyle; and three great-grandchildren, Collin, Mason, and Paige. She was preceded in death by her son, David. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 301 Avenue D, Redondo Beach, CA on November 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Family Camp or Deacons fund.
