Mr. Walter Willetts age 89 of Wilmington and formerly of Supply died Saturday November 8, 2014 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Wilmington. Mr. Willetts was born in Brunswick County on February 1, 1925 and was the son of the late George F. and Rosa Reaves Willetts. He owned and operated Willetts Heating and Air for 55 years. He was a avid fisherman and enjoyed metal detecting. He is survived by his wife, Kay F. Willetts; ten children, Gracie Varnum of Supply, Jamie Willetts of Wilmington, Darlene McGee of Shallotte, Jerry Willetts of Supply, Alvin Willetts of Varnamtown, Debbie Clark of Rocky Point, Lisa Ryan of Martinsburg, WV, Arthur "Buddy" Norris of Wilmington, Elizabeth Ann Howard of Wilmington, Tracy Norris of Greenville, NC; a brother, Hilton Willetts of Leland, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 11am at Soldier Bay Baptist Church 3905 Whiteville Road NW, Ash, NC with Reverend Charlie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 at White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte and other times from the home of Gracie Varnum, Suipply.
