FRONTENAC - Leola Pearl Bloomfield, 93, of Frontenac, Kan., died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Medicalodges of Frontenac.
Mrs. Bloomfield was born July 13, 1921, at Coffeyville, Kan., the daughter of Clark and Lucy Mae Guthrie Kallenberger. Leola was a homemaker. She married Winfield Scott Bloomfield Jr. on April 25, 1946, at Coffeyville, Kan. Mr. Bloomfield preceded her in death May 14, 1963. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Carl Scott Bloomfield, who died May 6, 1996.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac with Father Thomas Stroot as the celebrant. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Restlawn Cemetery at Coffeyville, Kan., with Father Chad Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church prior to mass. The family suggests memorials to Southern Care Hospice. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, KS 66712.
