Cleveland Rites
Funeral services for Astor Vernon Cleveland will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, White Pine Road, conducted by Bishop Elmer Black and John Astor Cleveland. Burial will be at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cleveland, 69, of 2535 Harrison Road, died yesterday at Lexington County Hospital.
He was the owner and operator of Cleveland Grocery on Aiken Street for 47 years and a retired employee of Amtrak passenger service.
Surviving are two sons, Joe Ellison and John Astor Cleveland Sr. of West Columbia; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Floride C. Del Priore of West Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian H. Medlock of Lyman and Mrs. Mildred E. Adams of Columbia; and 10 grandchildren.
