Anita Rankin Owens, 54, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at her home, 1036 13th St.
She was born April 29, 1947, in Spencer County, the daughter of the late Jess W. and Ruth Weatherholt.
She had worked at Tell City Chair Co. for 14 years and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, collecting angels and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Rankin; her parents; and a brother, Donnie Weatherholt.
Surviving are a son, James Rankin of Copperas Cove, Texas; three daughters, Tonya and Terri Rankin of Tell City and Lisa Rankin of Copperas Cove; two stepsons, Kevin and David Owens of Perry County; a stepdaughter, Tina Maysey of Perry County; three brothers, Alfred Weatherholt of Grandview, Marvin Weatherholt of Bloomfield and Fred Weatherholt of Philpot, Ky.; two sisters, Sheila Bartlett of Bloomfield and Barbara Sturgeon of Reo; three half brothers, Leroy Weatherholt of Louisville, Ky., Charles Weatherholt of Elizabethtown, Ky., and John Splater of Troy; and eight grandchildren.∼Daughter of Jess W. and Ruth (Rankin) Weatherholt.
