Murray Bakery Co. Retiree AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Lewis Golphin, Sr., of Summerchase Circle, entered into rest Saturday, April 1, 2006, at The Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Golphin was a native of Richmond Co., Ga., a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired employee of Murray Bakery, Co., and a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the Deacon Board, Male Chorus and Senior Choir. Survivors are his wife, Marian Golphin; three sons, Lewis Golphin, Jr., Robert Golphin, Augusta, Stephen Golphin, Atlanta; four daughters, Yalanda Golphin, Atlanta, Elouise Golphin, Augusta, Carolyn Golphin, California, Lucinda Golphin, New York; three stepchildren, Robert A. Williams, Jr., Augusta, Miriam (James) Barnwell, Atlanta, Ronald A. (Jennifer) Williams, Cape Cod, Md.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
