Robert F. Myers, a life-long resident of Lititz, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community in Manheim. He was 90.

He was the husband of the late June Diehm Myers, who died in 2008. They were married for 61 years. He formerly resided at 216 E. New Street, Lititz, PA. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Grace Frederick Myers.

Bob served aboard the USS Agawam in the US Navy in the Pacific during World War II.

Retiring in 1989, he was employed by the Cargill Corporation, formerly the Wilbur Chocolate Co., Inc. for 45 years. He enjoyed sports, travel, and any activities involving his family. Locally, he enjoyed watching Warwick and Manheim Central High School football.

He is survived by his son, Terry L., husband of Bonnie Young Myers of Lititz, PA and his daughter, Audrey M., wife of Peter Mekeel, of Lancaster, PA, two brothers, Raymond Myers and Gilbert, husband of Dolores Myers, all of Lititz, and one sister, Phyllis, wife of Amos King, Lancaster, PA; four grandchildren, Emily, Eric, David, and Amy, and eight great grandchildren, Zachary, Amber, Ethan, Benjamin, Cohen, Nicholas, Kara, and Shane. He was preceded in death by five sisters and a great grandson, Cameron.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert's Life Celebration Service from the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA, 17545 on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Chaplain Ginny Hartman officiating. Following a luncheon, interment will take place at Machpelah Cemetery, Lititz, PA. Friends may call at Hoffer Auditorium from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Robert's memory to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. The arrangements have been entrusted to Spacht Life Celebration Home.
