She was born in Ohio Feb. 10,1838 and was the daughter of John and Sarah (Hartsell) Rider. who later came to Indiana and settled in Noble County.Mrs Fisher was united in marriage to John R Fisher while they still lived near Canton, Ohio and soon after their marriage moved to Noble County.
Flor the last 45 years has been a resident in the vicinity of Etna. Five children survive this union. they are,William Fisher president of the Columbia Woolen Mills, George Fisher secretary of the Columbia Woolen Mills,Emanuel Fisher all of Columbia City. Mrs Elmer Bowlby and Mrs William Smith of Etna toownship. Her husband died twenty nine years agothis month.
Besides the children she leaves one sister Mrs.John Beers and one brother Mr. Sam Rider, both of Etna Twp. The funeral will be held at Salem Church Thursday afternoon at one o'clock. Rev. Brock, pastor of the United Brethern church will officiate. interment will be made in Salem.
