Frederick Horace ARCH Sr., "Fishhound", 62, formerly of Cherokee, died Thursday, April 29, 2004, in Toccoa, Ga.

A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Horace and Sara Reed Arch.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Bruce Arch, four brothers, Charles Edward, Roger, Clayton and Treannie Arch.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Frederick Horace Arch Jr. and wife, Georgeanna, Albert Arch and wife, Karla, and Troy Arch, all of Cherokee, two daughters, Candy Martin and husband, Albert, and Pam Crowe and husband, Dodie, all of Cherokee, mother of his children, Louise Taylor of Cherokee, 10 grandchildren, brother, Bud Arch of Cherokee, four sisters, Sis Larch, Annabelle Marmon, Vange Laney and Theresa Rattler, all of Cherokee, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 3, at Acquoni Baptist Chapel. The Rev. James "Bo" Parris, Dinah Welch and James Sneed will officiate.
Burial will be in Arch Family Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Steve Youngdeer American Legion.
