Alma Ileen (Butterfield) Gilbert, 85, died peacefully on Oct. 20, 2014, in Mountain Home.

She was born April 1, 1929 in Shoshone, Idaho. She was raised and educated in the Shoshone schools and graduated in 1947.

A graveside inurnment was set for 1:30 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Shoshone Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Mountain Home Senior Center. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Alma enjoyed helping many people celebrate special occasions over the years by preparing their meals at Joes Club. Alma also liked cooking and helping people at Elmore Medical Center. She was part of the Hospital Auxiliary.

Alma is survived by her children, Patricia and her husband Warren Croucher, William Taylor, Cheryl Inskeep, and Linda Beck, as well as her step-children, Jody Gilbert and his wife, Pam, Nolan Gilbert, Laura Gilbert and Vicki Gilbert. She is survived by multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Andrew and Nettie Mildred (Lawson) Butterfield, her siblings, Joyce June, Alta Louise and Sarah Adelia and her husband, Ray Gilbert.
