Marvin Doc Adams was born September 11, 1927. He grew up on the farm with his parents, Walter C. and Lee Ethel Adams of Brock, Nebraska. After graduating from Brock Consolidated School, Marvin enlisted in the Navy and served as a Machinist Mate Third Class during World War II.
He married Doris Gauchat June 16, 1947. They moved with their family to Norfolk in 1959 where Marvin was stationed as a Nebraska Safety patrolman. Marvin was elected Sheriff of Madison County for three terms.
Marvin was a pilot and loved to fly his Grumman Tiger. He was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying the outdoor. He served as a Boy Scout Master and was a member of the Rotary, VFW, American Legion and First Christian Church.
He was employed by Vulcraft and Arrow Stage Lines.

He is survived by his wife, Doris J. Adams; sons, Patrick M. and wife Nancy of Norfolk, NE, Gregg T. and wife Jani of Norfolk, NE; daughter, Beverly R. Sapp and husband Richard of Fruitland Park, Florida; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to First Christian Church, 1408 East Benjamin Ave., Norfolk, Nebraska.
