WINAMAC-Services for William P. Shorter, 69, of route 1, Winamac, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Church with Father Robert Roster officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at Kennedy and Braman Funeral home, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. today.
Shorter died at his home at 6 p.m. Friday following an illness of several months. Born here July 30, 1895, he was the son of George and Gertrude Bossier Shorter. A resident of this vicinity most of his life, he spent four years in Chicago. His marriage on Jan. 4, 1921, was to Nora Braun.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Margaret Berner of Fort Wayne, and three grandchildren.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of St. Peter's Church and the Holy Name Society.
