Miles E. Buck, 56, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a 1976 graduate of Henninger High School. Miles retired in 2007 after 25 years with James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre. A gifted local musician, he played bass along with other instruments and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his daughters, Crystal (Eric) Dano of Long Island and Amy Baran of Virginia; sister, Martha (Peter) Alberti of Camillus; grandchildren, Rebecca Dano and Landon Baran; companion of ten years, Deirdre Burch of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, October 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Miles to one's favorite charity.
