Born in Easley,SC, he was the son of the Reverend Clyde Gravley, Jr. and Jon Ellen Dill Gravely, of Easley. Jimmy served a tour of duty in Afghanistan and was a decorated veteran of the Army National Guard and the recepient of the Purple Heart. He previously worked as a logger. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, is two sons, James Malachi Gravley and Kristofer Dalton Gravley, both of Piedmont; a daughter, Heather Cheyenne Gravley, of Piedmont; a brother, Mike Gravley, of Liberty; two sisters, Tammy Ann Gravley, of Walhalla and Joanna Gravley, of Liberty.
Funeral services with full military honors will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
The family is at the home of Reverend and Mrs. Clyde Gravley, 123 Galilee Church Road, Easley.
