Leanna M. Adler, of Bays Road, Rudolph, Ohio, passed away May 17, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. She was born August 16, 1929 in McComb, Ohio to A. Lee and Audrey M. (Sweebe) Mercer. She married Robert E. Adler September 2, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2001. Leanna is survived by a daughter, Rebecca L. (Alan) Rahe of Sun City Center, FL, a son, James R. (Denise) Adler of Portage, OH, grandchildren, Jennifer Adler, Anne (Adam) Goldstone, Bob (Teresa) Rahe, and Pam (Darrell) Gebers, great grandchildren, Aly Gebers, Grant Goldstone, Garrett Goldstone, Aiden Rahe and Emma Rahe, a sister, Sally (Lee) Deffenbaugh. Also preceding her in death were her parents, and a sister, Rosemary Scoville. Leanna was a member of the Rudolph Christian Church, treasurer of the church’s CWF, sang in the choir, and was in a woman’s ensemble. Leanna was salutatorian of her 1947 Liberty High School senior class. She served as President, Vice president, Secretary and Treasurer of the Liberty Township Alumni Association. Leanna was a member and served on the board of the Rudolph Civic Center, was a member of the Liberty Township Senior Citizens the Bavarian Club, the Come Laters Farm Bureau Council, and the Easy Goers Camping Group. Leanna retired from working at the ASCS Office and the Sanitary Engineers Office. Funeral services will take place May 21, 2016 at 11am at The Rudolph Christian Church. Pastor Larry Garzony will officiate with burial in Wingston Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm at the Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green’s Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Memorial contributions may be given to the church or Bridge Hospice.
