Charles Anthony Mauro, 79 years old, of Clearwater, Florida, a retired Customer Engineer, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013. He was the husband of Nancy (Tourjee) Mauro. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, son of Anthony and Lelia (Toppi) Mauro and lived in Coventry,Rhode Island before moving to Clearwater,Flordia 35 years ago. He graduated Cranston High School, attended Brown University, and after graduation from Rhode Island Radio School pursued a career as a computer technical specialist.
Besides his wife he is survived by 4 sons, Charles S. of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Stephen T. of Alexandria, Virginia, Wayne E. of Waretown, New Jersey, Matthew C. of Clearwater, Florida and 3 daughters, Valerie Ciardi of Washington, Utah, Melanie Houle of Bozeman, Montana and Melissa Jackman of Clearwater, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, 2:00 p.m May 5, 2013 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
