Adaline was the daughter, perhaps the youngest, of Elijah Edwards and Maria Maydole Edwards. In 1850, the family resided at Cincinnatus, New York where her father was a farmer. Adaline, also known as Ada and as Addie, married first to Adam F. Wiles about 1859. Adaline and Adam were the parents of two children; a son who died in infancy and a daughter, Lilly May Wiles, who married to John Wade Orr, an electrician. Adaline and Adam made their home at Willet where her husband was a farmer. He died in 1865 and Adaline married next to Duncan Grant More on 26 February 1873 at Willet. They made their home at Cortland where her husband was a successful butter, cheese, and produce dealer. He retired sometime between 1892 and 1900 and they removed to the home of her daughter. Her husband died in 1907 and Adaline died in 1911 due to complications of diabetes. Adaline was a member of the Presbyterian church. She was remembered by a large circle of friends as faithful to all her duties in life.
