A native of Polk County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Sidney and Eula Lee (Johnson) Greenway.
A retired employee of the Greenville County School District, she was a member of Greer Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Charles William "Bill" Tarbutton, Sr. of the home; two sons, Charles W. "Butch" Tarbutton, Jr. of Williamston, SC and Chucky Mason of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two daughters, Kaila Atkins of Greer and Patty Pearson of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two brothers, Joe Greenway and Thomas Greenway, Jr. both of Green Creek, NC; four sisters, Edith Goode of Chicago, IL, Mary Henderson and Mae Hawkins both of Campobello, SC and Jane Plumley of Boiling Springs, SC and three grandchildren, Emmett Atkins, Andy Pearson and Johnny Pearson.
She was also predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Calvin Greenway and two sisters, Judith Greenway and Annie Lee Whitmire.
A Celebration of Life service was held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Greer Church of God, conducted by Rev. Stewart Anderson.
Visitation was held Wednesday following the service at the church.
The family suggested you make a memorial in memory of Patsy Tarbutton, to Gibbs Cancer Center, at Spartanburg Regional Foundation, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
