Mr. James Crawford Simmons, 83, of Ash died Friday, October 3, 2014 in Liberty Commons. He was born February 7, 1931, the son of the late Vance and Ethel Hewett Simmons.
He is survived by two sons, Vance “Josh” Simmons and wife, Crystal of Whiteville and Jonathan Simmons of Ash; a daughter, Bonnie Jean Thompson of Whiteville; five grandchildren; a sister, Zella Mae Simmons of Shallotte.
His funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Monday, October 6, 2014 graveside at New Britton Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service at New Britton Baptist Church Cemetery.
