Ernest Louis Ermis, (Ernie), was born on his Grandmother Palitza's farm near Shiner, Tx. He was the youngest of ten children born to his parents, Louis and Agnes Palitza Ermis. The family moved to Nueces County where he attended school in Agua Dulce, Tx. He was fluent in speaking the Czech language.
He married Beth Wallis in San Patricio County, Tx; together they had 3 children, Valerie E., Leslie G. and John R. Ernie is also survived by 3 grandsons, JD Langridge, Cody Wade Langridge and Colton R. Langridge. Family was the most important aspect of his life. He was a reservist, retired farmer and a Catholic.
