Shell Lake, Wis., May 6 - Special - The forest fires are burning very fiercely in all directions and if rain does not come soon, many farmers will lose their homes.

The house and barn of Charles Blair burned Tuesday.

It is reported that the cranberry and blueberry crop will be very light as the cranberry marshes and blueberry region are all afire.
