Danny Lane Alford, 53, of 1069 Old Zebulon Road, died suddenly on Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Rex Healthcare. Danny was born April 6, 1948, in Wake County, to the late Carlton Alford and Inez Wall Alford. He graduated from Vaden Whitley High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Danny was Deputy Director for Security with Wake County Sheriff’s Department, Detention Division.

Surviving: sister, Rose A. Wheeler of Wendell; nieces, Jennene W. Faulkner and her husband, Ronnieof Wendell, Renee W. Driver of Zebulon and Hannah Rose Driver of Zebulon; nephew, Jamy Wheeler of Wendell.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Alford.
