DEATH OF JOHN DENNISON
The death of Mr. John P. Dennison at his home in Prattville last Monday afternoon removed from among us one of this section's oldest and most beloved citizens. He had been a sufferer for several years and his death was not unexpected.
John P. Dennison, Sr., was born 73 years ago last September and was reared in Elmore county. He came to Prattville in 1900 and was for fourteen years marshal of the town. He leaves surviving him a widow, three sons, A.R., Charley, and John P. Dennison, and three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Webb, of beat 10; Mrs. L. W. Oates, of Montgomery, and Mrs. W. M. Gray of Prattville.
The deceased possessed a genial disposition and lived in the sunshine of life. He was a good citizen and made many warm friends to grieve over his death.
The remains were interred in Oak Hill Cemetery last Tuesday afternoon with Masonic honors.
