Robert Russel Reinhardt age 72 of Baldwin and formerly of Woodville died late Friday September 3rd, 2004 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul due to complications of diabetes. Bob was born on September 18, 1931 on the family Reinhardt Farmstead; the son of Jake and Edna (Rodewald) Reinhardt. He was baptized and confirmed as well as a lifelong member of the immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodville.
He attended Birchdale and Woodville grade schools. Bob graduated from Baldwin High School in the class of 1949 and just attended their 55th class reunion.
Bob hauled milk to Glenwood City from 1949 to 1952. He was drafted and volunteered for the Marine Corp. He was ever proud to serve his country in 1951 and 1952. Bob was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Johnson on August 26, 1952. This union would be blessed with four children; Jeffrey, Wendy, Kim and Robie. Bob and Shirley just celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Bob and Shirley farmed the Reinhardt family farmstead for 29 years prior to moving into the village of Woodville as their son Jeff took over the farm. Two years ago, they moved into a twin home in Baldwin to make life easier for Bob. Bob was a devout Christian and was very active at Immanuel Lutheran holding many church offices. Bob was a dedicated member of the Woodville American Legion Post 301 and considered working and volunteering for the American Legion his hobby. He attended 21 national conventions and held many offices; including three years as State Membershp chairman. Bob thoroughly enjoyed snowmobiing and getting friends together to go on snowmobiling trips. When the trips weren't often enough, they formed the North Woodville Birthday Club where they celebrated many birthdays. Bob's greatest love came from watching his grandchildren grow up and attending their events and/or sports and always had to have a supply of their favorite treats.
