William Henry Morris, 90, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Raleigh, NC. He was born on October 31, 1922 in Oceana, VA to Joseph and Evelyn Morris.
William was married to Grace B. Morris, the love of his life for 40 years until her death in 1985.
He retired from the Department of Navy as an Electronics Specialist after 30 years of dedicated service. In retirement, his family was blessed to have the most encouraging, loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather.
William is preceded in death by his brothers, J. Monroe Morris, Roswell A. Morris, Joseph A. Morris; sister, Francis Morris Gray and parents.
Survived by his sons, William H. (Peggy) Morris, Jr. and Robert E. (Lucy) Morris; grandsons, David (Tammy) Morris, Robert (Jean) Morris, Jr. and Stephen (Valerie) Morris; and great granddaughters, Hannah and Makayla.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2 p.m. at Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church Cemetery in Virginia Beach.
