Winona was born and lived much of her life in North Alabama before moving to Panama City, Fla., in 2009 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Winona was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Rowan, who passed away in 1998; and son, Jimmy Rowan, who passed away in 1978.
Winona is survived by her daughter, Sandra Flowers; and son-in-law, Charles Flowers; grandchildren, Brian Flowers (and wife, Renee), Chistopher Flowers (and wife, Lacey), Nicholas Flowers and Jacob Flowers; great-grandchildren, Fischer Flowers, Logan Flowers, Gibson Flowers and Phineas Flowers; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kelly, Francis Gidley, Dorothy Bloom, Dean Warren, Betty Belue and Brenda Graves; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday from noon until 1 at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Charity Cemetery.
