Mr. Leon Ross Boulware, 55, of Elgin, died on Thursday, January 23, 1986. He was a retired employee of the DuPont Co., a Marine Corps veteran and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Elgin Lions Club. He was the first chef of the Elgin Catfish Stomp.
Surviving were his widow, Mrs. Novice Stockman Boulware whom he married on September 25, 1948; daughters, Miss Tammy Boulware and Mrs. Haskell (Glenda) Marsh of Elgin; sisters, Mrs. Caughman (Ethel) Smith and Mrs. Herbert (Allie Mae) Kelly of Ridgeway; and brothers, Curtis Boulware of Blair, M.L. Boulware of Ridgeway, James Boulware of Hopkins and Robert L Boulware of Lake Worth, Fla.
Services were held at 4 p.m., January 24, 1986 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, was in charge.
