Father of Patricia Abdo, Rose Breece-Shue, and Edward Jacobs.
Brother of the late Thomas Jacobs, William J. Jacobs, Fred F. Jacobs, Raymond J. Jacobs, Amos Jacobs (actor/entertainer Danny Thomas), Emily Mary Jacobs Pointinger Zange Dyke, Paul George Jacobs, Samuel S. Jacobs, and Daniel Alfred Jacobs.
Survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jacobs inherited some of his family's entertainment genes. In his early years, he performed frequently with a brother. For four decades, he enjoyed performing for friends and customers in his beer tavern in Toledo. He was a tap dancer and had been a basketball player in high school even though he only stood 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was fast on his feet. He is sorely missed.
Edward Jacobs was the last surviving sibling of his family of nine sons and one daughter.
