F.N. Bellamy, STOCKMAN KNOWN HERE DIED THURSDAY
Fred N. Bellamy, stock and ranch man who lived for several years in and near
Haxtun, and with many friends in Holyoke and vicinity, died in Denver last Thursday.
Mr. Bellamy was one of the most popular cattlemen in this section, and his friends in
Northeastern
Colorado were numbered by the hundred. One of the surviving children, Mrs. Verda Mitchell
is the wife of Webster Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. of .Henry Mitchell of Holyoke.
The following account of Mr. Bellamy's life is taken from the Denver Post:
Fred N. Bellamy,58 years old , a widely known cattleman of eastern Colorado and one life-time member of the Colorado livestock commission , died suddenly Denver Tuesday night. He was born in Marion County, Iowa, November 20, 1868, where he raised cattle until he came to Colorado sixteen years ago. In 1920 he married for the second time to Bertha Teats of Topeka, Kansas and for the last few years lived in Watkins, Colorado where he died, Mr.Bellamy owned and operated ranches in Knoxville, Iowa and near Watkins, Colorado. Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters:
Pauline Bellamy of San Francisco and Mr. L. Taylor and Mrs. Verda Mitchell of San Pedro, California, and by his aged mother and fourteen brothers and sisters. His body was sent to Knoxville, Iowa for interment.

born October 4, 1874 in Marion County, Iowa. the daughter
of William Birmingham Young and Martha A. Craddick. She was married to Fred Newton Bellamy on May 2, 1891 in Knoxville, Marion County. They were divorced (Feb. 21, 1920
in Phillips County, Colorado).
She died November 6, 1957 in Orange County, California

Children: Verna Bellamy 1893-1910; Lana Bellamy 1894-1983. She Married James Taylor; Wiley Vern 1901-1910; W.B. 1904-1920 and Samuel 1904-1924
