Basil William Ingle GRANITE FALLS -- Mr. Ingle, 71, of Granite Falls passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Mr. Ingle was born in Caldwell County to Marvin and Violet Shuford Ingle of Granite Falls. He was the owner of Focus Leather, Inc. and of the Baptist faith. He was a dedicated member of the Southern Caldwell Optimist Club. He enjoyed farming, hunting and lived to be outdoors. He also loved the beach. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Buckner Ingle of the home; two sons, William Scott Ingle and wife Angie of Granite Falls, and Robert Lee of Hickory; three grandchildren, Seth and Taylor Ingle and Seth Haigler; two sisters, Rachel Click and husband Billy of Llano, TX, and Marie Winter and husband Walt of Morganton. He is also survived by nephews, Davy and Danny Click and their spouses of Texas. A funeral service will be held at Temple Hill Baptist Church Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Darrell Hatchell and speaker Mark Kiser officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pendry's Funeral Home Friday, November 13, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Simmons, Walter Jessup, Mark Kiser, Charles Ingle, Terry Ingle and Mike Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Clawson and Andrew Dehart. The family requests that memorials be made to Temple Hill Baptist Church, 4400 Temple Hill Church Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630. The Ingle family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and Doctor's of Carolinas Medical Center Trauma Unit for all their hard work and also to the Grace Chapel Fire Department.
