John was the son of Mathias Antoni and Elizabeth Derer of Hungary.

He immigrated to Philadelphia about 1922.

He was married to Elizabeth Belisle (Oct 22 1901- April 1990).

John died of pneumonia in Episcopal Hospital. He was a weaver residing at 3425 Livingston Avenue.

He was the father of:

1-John J. Antoni
2-Erwin J. Antoni, married to Josephine Mary Cipriani
3-Albert Angelo Antoni (Sept 30 1925- Dec 20 2006) WWII card says Sept 25 1924)
4-Joseph Antoni (1927-1928)
5-Elsie Antoni Schiavo (1928-?)
6-Dolores Antoni Purcell (1931-2010)

His sons went to Girard College in Philadelphia where they were star athletes. All three of his sons are World War II veterans.

Elsie and Dolores were sent to St. Vincents after their father's death.

Mrs. Antoni was eventually able to reunite her family.

[Note- the only census he was on with his family was in 1930 which spelled everyone's name Anthaney]
