Iris Faye Simmons age 74 of Ash, NC died Saturday morning in Valley Rehab Center in Taylorsville, NC. Born in Brunswick County, NC she was the daughter of the late Ozie Tripp and Grace Annie Hines Tripp. She was the widow of Lendon Floyd Simmons.
She is survived by two sons: Floyd Simmons Jr. and wife Nancy of Longwood, NC and Dewayne Simmons and wife Amy of Ash, NC. One brother Bill Tripp of Ash, NC Three sisters: Pat Long, Annie McKeithan and Brenda Cribb all of Ash, NC. Four Grandchildren: Ben Simmons, Justin Simmons, Brandon Simmons, and Kristen Simmons.
She was preceded in death by one brother James Tripp and one sister Betty Gore.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 4:00pm in the New Britton Baptist Church Cemetery, Ash, NC.
