She was born Nov. 28, 1954, in Medford, to Bill and June Cowell Duhaime. She married Don Williams on May 1, 1992, in Medford.
Duhaime graduated with a bachelor of science degree in English and sociology from the University of Oregon in 1976 and a juris doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1991.
She worked for the Lane County Sheriff's Office and was Ashland's first female patrol officer in 1979. She worked for the Woodburn Police Department and for Jackson County District Attorney's Office from 1991 to 1999.
In recent years, she was adjunct instructor in the criminology departments at Southern Oregon University and Rogue Community College.
She enjoyed road running, hiking and gardening. She was a member of the Oregon State Bar, the University of Oregon Alumni Association and Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Oregon.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, now of Eugene; a brother, James of Eugene; and a sister, Sally Stambaugh of Centralia, Wash.
Her family remembers that "she was passionate about her many interests and causes, fought prescriptive drug addiction and was active in addiction recovery groups."
The March 4 service will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Eugene. Funeral Alternatives in Medford is in charge of arrangements.
