Born as Andreas Burchard, he emigrated to the US in 1855 with his family. He married Jannette McKinney ca 1874. According to the Mineral Point Tribune,10 July 1913, Andrew had been a long time resident of Mineral Point. He died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Will Hudler in Rockford, IL. The funeral was held at St. Paul's Church in Mineral Point and he was buried in Graceland Cemetery beside his wife, Jannette nee McKinney born in Scotland.
