Michael “Mike” Boening was born in Petoskey, May 19, 1944, and attended Petoskey High School. He invested in real estate and worked for several companies before going to work for Fletch’s of Petoskey. He was there for more than 15 years. In 2001, he went out on his own and formed Boening Auto Sales. Mike was an avid deer hunter, pheasant hunter, and NASCAR fan. Earlier in his life he enjoyed racing snowmobiles, motorcycles, and stockcars.

Mr. Boening was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie Lodge 2462 of Petoskey. He was survived by his wife, family, and many friends.
