Rusty graduated from Gardner Webb University and received his MBA from Appalachian State University. He was employed at Vertafore as a software trainer. He was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia and a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Rusty was a loving and devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Interment in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory.
