Irwin Abbott II, 62, of West Newton, passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at his home. Born March 10, 1952, in Charleroi, he was a son of the late Irwin Abbott and Helen Jones Abbott. Irwin graduated from the Belle Vernon Area High School, Class of 1970, only to continue his education at both Gateway Technical Institute, having graduated from there in 1972, and then entered the Computer Systems Institute and graduated from there in 1987. He implemented his skills as a valued employee of PNC Bank in Pittsburgh for 22 years. His favorite things in life were spending time with his family, date nights with his wife, Paula, and working around his home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Abbott. Irwin is survived by his wife of 25 years, Paula Bosch Abbott; three children, Stephanie, Lauren and Zachary; his nephew, William (Ted) Williams, of Fayette City: and his niece Wendy Steere, of Crofton, Md. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC. FUNERAL HOME, Route 136, Madison. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Free officiating. Interment will follow in the Madison Union Cemetery.
