Margaret L. Plank, 78, of Chrisman Route 2, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 9, 1996) at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village Nursing Center in Chrisman, IL., where she had been a patient for the past three weeks.

She was born May 24, 1917, near Scottland, IL., the daughter of Edward and Fern Waggoner Haws. She was married March 6, 1937, in Decatur, IL., to Raymond Plank. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1988. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Ingram of Chrisman and Mrs. Joyce Wiggins of Danville; one brother, Richard Haws of Catlin; four grandchildren, Mike Ingram, Jim Ingram, Nancy Frazee and Larry Grubb; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Plank had been the owner of the Scottland Soil Service since 1959. She was a member of the Scottland Order of Eastern Star lodge #538 where she was a 50 year member and past matron.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Friday at Scott-Bolen Funeral Home in Chrisman; Officiating: Rev. Larry Beebe; Burial: Friends Chapel Cemetery; Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; Memorials may be made in her memory to ALS Association or Pleasant Meadows Christian Village Nursing Center.
