He was born in Sevierville, TN. on May 15, 1934 a son of the late Sanders and Edith McConkey Hardin. A retired teacher and basketball coach for Flagler Palm Coast High School, Mr. Hardin had the distinguished honor of being one of the winningest basketball coaches in Florida's High School Athletics. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell and enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid crossword puzzle worker and loved to grow blueberries.
Survivors include four daughters, Carole Montgomery and husband, Alan; Robin Braddock and husband, Tom; Cindy Trupo and husband, Russell and Jackie Hardin and partner, Kenny; son, Sanders Hardin all of Fla. five grandchildren, Lauren, Andrew, Brian, Conner and Keaton; two sisters, Marguerita Clayton of Kingwood TX and Nita Bowling of Knoxville, TN.; brother, Joe Hardin of Pulaski, TN.
The family received friends Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Shiloh Cemetery Pigeon Forge, TN. with Rev. Bruce Adams Officiating.
