Salvador Duarte Bettencourt, entered into rest with his family by his side, Sunday July 13, 2014 at Doctors Medical Center of Modesto. He was 86 years old and was born in the Village of Pedro Miguel, Island of Faial, Azores.

Mr. Bettencourt is survived by his Wife of 59 years, Anna F. Bettencourt, two Daughters, Olga Maria (Dennis) Keith and Maria de Fatima (Antonio) Azevedo; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Salvador was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Escalon, F.E.S. Hall of Manteca, He was the Past Presidente of the Holy Ghost Celebration and Past President of the Portuguese Radio Program of Mimi Dias in 1979, P.F.S.A., Council # 69 of Escalon.

He loved to play cards, make people laugh, having the Portuguese Matancas (butchering a hog) at his home, going to Portuguese festas.
