Jesse Frank Palmer was the son of Jesse Richardson Palmer and Mary Ann Rodgers born in Nellie village of the Cataloochee area of Haywood Co., NC. He married late in life to Louisa A. Palmer of Fines Creek on January 30, 1900, in Buncombe Co., NC and they had one child together, Theodore. The 1910 Census showed he was married only once and his widowed mother moved in with him at this time. He was a farmer and owned his own land and lived he entire life in the Cataloochee valley. He caught the flu which turned into pneumonia and died in April 1925.
