Kenneth F. Thieme, 61, died Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in Fort Wayne on February 4, 1942 to William Henry and Henrietta (Baunister) Thieme, he was an employee of MTI Insulated Products, Inc. (formerly TECO Inc.) for 22 years, worked part-time for 20 years at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and was a Volunteer Firefighter. He was a Coach at Village Little League, Past President of the Babe Ruth League and an avid Komet Hockey and Cubs fan who enjoyed people. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joy of Fort Wayne; sons, Kenneth E. of Altamonte Springs, FL and Keith W. of Fort Wayne; daughter, Barbara L. Thieme of Woodburn; two step-sons, Kevin H. Sink of Elroy, WI and Edwin D. Sink, Jr. of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Bertha Talarico of Fort Wayne, Pauline Frye of Kendallville and his beloved pet, Caesar; 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mae Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial 11am Saturday September 13 with calling one hour prior at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road. Calling also 2 to 5 & 7 to 9pm Friday September 12 with Vigil Service at 8:30pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road. Burial in St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Cancer Services of Allen County or St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.
