STANLEY GIFFORD SERVICES TUESDAY

Funeral services for Stanley GIFFORD, 68, of Rt. 3, Benton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hobbs- Johnson Funeral Home, Benton.

The Rev. W. E. TONEY will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery, Benton. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. GIFFORD died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Franklin Hospital, Benton. He had been ill the last two months.

He wag born Nov. 26, 1902, in Franklin County, the son of Mahlon and Flora LEFLER GIFFORD.

He was reared by his stepfather, George B. UPCHURCH of Benton, who died in 1945. Twin sons, Harold and Howard, preceded him in death.

He is survived by has wife, Edith; daughters, Mrs. Mary TRUITT of Peoria and Mrs. Martha Jane HOUSE of Normal; a sister, Mrs. Bertha SWEET of Woodriver; brothers, Omer UPCHURCH, Herbert UPCHURCH, Eugene UPCHURCH, all of Benton and Ralph UPCHURCH of Whittington; and seven grandchildren.
