In 1904 Sidney Hooper Morris, the younger brother of Victor and engineering degree from the University of Utah, travels to Peru to work on the railroad La Oroya to Cerro de Pasco.

After a couple of years back to Utah, then returned to Peru in 1917 when he was hired by the Cerro de Pasco Copper Corporation as chief engineer at the mine Casapalca.

He worked in Peru until May 1922.

In 1929 he was living in San Francisco, California.
