Carl Davis "Black" Abadie Sr. a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather entered into Heaven on May 24, 2011 at the age of 68.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Linda Fayard Abadie. Father of Darlene Abadie Boudreaux, Carl Abadie Jr., Holly Christine Abadie, Brandi Abadie Rector and the late Todd Anthony Abadie. Brother of Herbert, Douglas, Curtis, Thomas and Debra.
Son of the late Herbert Abadie Sr. and Clothilde Schouest. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and many other loving friends and relatives.
Carl Abadie Sr. was an employee of Northrop Grumman Shipyard for 40 years until he retired. He was a lifelong, avid, diehard LSU fan. He was an admirable hero to his Children and a loving "Paw-Paw" to his Grandchildren. Carl "Black" Abadie, Sr. touched the lives of many and his legacy will live on through his Children and Grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
