Beazy was born in Clifton, Az. She was called "daddy's little princess." In the mid-1920's she moved with sister Ruby to Phoenix. BZ & Ruby lived with a woman who "worked them so hard." This paid for their room and board. The sisters attended Tempe Normal now ASU. Beatrice became a teacher and taught 8th grade at Osborn elementary school. The sisters would go to summer classes in California, as required to increase their teaching skills. BZ was petite and many of the boys were bigger than she. Maybe for that reason she subsequently taught 4th grade. She taught from 1926 to 1931 when she married her beloved Joe. They were married at the first Baptist Church in Phoenix Arizona. During that time, women school teachers were not allowed to be married. BZ and Joe met in Phoenix through a woman possibly named Vivian who lived in a big house across from Osborn school in Phoenix. Joe would come spend time with Vivian‘s family while he was in school in Tucson. Someone at Vivian‘s house was also in school with Joe and they would come home to Phoenix and that is how he met BZ. That house faced Central Avenue and was on the south side of Osborn. BZ was a loyal loving wife and mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and daughter. She did things correctly! Right down to ironing the bed sheets! She loved to play bridge, was very spiritual & religious. She wrote poetry and collected recipes. She had a book of her writings published
