NILES - Theodore Arthur "Ted" Comeau, 89, passed away at 8:25 am on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Youngstown.

He was born in Lisbon, Maine on June 6, 1925 the son of Angus Luke and Sophie Angelique (Walker) Comeau.

Ted retired as a Gunnery Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served for 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and was a life member of the VFW and Marine Corps Association. He also retired from General Motors in Lordstown in 1980. A lifetime member of the Oak Island Golf and Country Club in Long Beach, North Carolina, he was an avid golfer and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Ted is survived by his wife of 58 years Bonita "Bonnie" (Pirigyi) Comeau whom he married on March 16, 1956; two sons, Robert G. Comeau of Honolulu, Hawaii, David (Christine) Comeau of Austintown; daughter, Renee Wilder of New Castle, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Bobby, Shannon, Kyle, Brittany, Brett.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Croteau and Irene Boucher.

Military Honors will be provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
